Vivacité 2020 released!

A school magazine is a treasure of moments and memories of the past year. CNIS has a tradition of releasing the school magazine annually. It is a document of events, activities, achievements of the school. It also brings out the literary and art skills of the students and the staff.

The School Annual Vivacité 2020 was released on 12 March 2020 in a small gathering consisting of  Grades VIII & IX students and the staff of the school.

Rev. Fr. Sony Palathra CMI, Vicar Provincial of St. Josephs Province honoured the school with his visit for the release of Vivacité 2020. The school first prayed for the recent pandemic to subside and then began the release function. Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Sony congratulated all for  making Vivacité 2020 and guided each one to have a copy of the same which will refresh their memories not only now but also years to come. 

School Principal Rev. Fr. Thomas Chennattusserry CMI appreciated the students and staff for their contribution to the magazine. He commended the efforts of the staff editors.


CCA Assembly

The Fridays which the kids wait for, The CCA classes that the children long for ended with a grand assembly on 13 February 2020. The spectacular show anchored by the members of English Club consisted of well synchronised performance from the students of Dance Club, Zumba Club, Skating Club, Karate Club, Yoga Club, Basketball Club, Guitar and Keyboard Club. The Nature Club, IT Club and Table Tennis Club presented their years report. The Pencil Drawing Club exhibited their creation on that day for the school to see. 

School Principal Rev. Fr. Thomas Chennattusserry CMI congratulated all the students , teachers and trainers involved in CCA (Co curricular activities) for their fantabulous work.


Flag Folding Ceremony

To mark the closure of all the activities for the academic year 2019-20, the Flag Folding Ceremony took place on 7 February 2020. As the beats of the drum sounded in the backdrop, the school flags were lowered by the school leaders in stifling solemnity. Nostalgia welled up in the hearts of every CNIte, as the curtains were drawn for a year festooned by grandeur.


Graduation Day

Expectations and hopes ran high as the Graduation Day of Grade XII took place on 7 February 2020. The senior most batch of CNIS were bid a heart-warming farewell, equipping them with the confidence to scale greater heights, beyond the protective walls of their school.

School Principal Rev.Fr. Thomas Chennattusserry CMI with his words displayed the strong faith that the school had in the students’ potential to succeed and wished them the best of luck to follow their dreams and open a new chapter in their lives.


Annual Day-5 December

 

 

The school celebrated the Annual Day along with the joy of Christmas on 5 December 2019 in the school premises. Dr. R.L.Tavis.Ashton-Bell, Assistant Professor, Christ (deemed to be University) was the chief guest of the day. The occasion was also graced by the Rev. Fr. Sebastian Chamathara CMI, Provincial, St. Joseph’s Province, Thiruvananthapuram, Rev. Fr. Jospeh Vattaparambil CMI, Manager, Christ Nagar Group of Schools and the principals of other Christ Nagar Educational Institutions.

School Principal Rev. Fr. Thomas Chennattusserry CMI presented the school’s Annual Report  through a video.

The candle lighting and the cake cutting set the ambience right for Christmas celebration and the Lucky Draw added a tinge of fun to the day. On this auspicious day, Mr. Johny, our non teaching staff was handed over the key of the house shaped by the CNIS Charity Wing.

The entire school participated wholeheartedly to present the mega show ‘Once Upon a Time…’ when fantasy and drama blended in a whole new perspective of magic and mystery.


Annual Educational Fair Panchatatwa

The Annual Educational Fair Panchatatva was held on 8 November 2019 in the school premises. It was inaugurated by Shri G. Sreeram, Assistant Director, AIR who was the chief guest of the day.  The honourable guest enlightened the students on Panchatatva in Music.

The students attempted to display the potentials of the five elements of nature, discoveries and inventions that have happened due to them and also the disasters that are caused by these five elements. They also tried to explore the possibilities from them.

 Through this theme, the school aimed to provide a better understanding that PanchatatvaAkash, Vayu, Jal, Agni, and Prithvi flourishes, cherishes, perishes and revives life.

 A food fest, a  book fair  and a photo booth  were added attractions to the fair apart from the various models that were displayed by the students.


Talents Day

Talents Day 2019 was conducted on 5 September 2019. It is a day where the students are encouraged to take up the task of school administration. Students of Grades X, XI & XII participate in this event.  School Principal Rev. Fr. Thomas Chennattusserry declared CNIte Melwin Chacko Dennies as the Student Principal and CNIte Maushmi Rajesh as the Student Vice Principal. As many as 53 students were appointed as student teachers for various subjects. A couple of students adorned the role of Administrative Assistants too.

The arduous preparation that the students had put in for many days bore the fruit on the Talents Day. The students managed the school very well for which they were appreciated. The best student teacher in each subject was awarded during the end of the day.


Thrill CNIS

Exuberance and joy filled the school ground as Thrill CNIS 2019, the school’s Cultural Extravaganza, was held on 21 & 22 August 2019.

The Chief Guest of the event Rev. Fr. Col. Dr. Thomas C Mathew CMI, whose address to the audience was impressive.

The audience was enthralled with solo singing and dancing performances by the talented CNItes on 21 August 2019. Each one competed with each other as well as appreciated each other’s performances. On 22 August 2019 the group events were held which saw CNItes developing a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork. 


Investiture Ceremony

The elected leaders marched forth on 13 June 2019. They held their heads high as the badges and sashes were presented by the School Principal, Rev.Fr. Thomas Chennattusserry CMI. Following this, the new Office Bearers, in the lead of the Principal, took the oath, vowing to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity and diligence for the progress of the school.


CNIS Election

The first ever CNIS student council election was held on 10 June 2019. CNItes from Grades V to XII were given the privilege to elect the School Leader from Grade XII and the Deputy School Leader from Grade X. The candidates had the task of campaigning and making themselves heard during “Meet the Candidate’ programme. Polling booths and counting centre was set up. Rules and regulations for the voters as well the candidates to follow were given. The students were exposed to the real election situation through this student election.
