Christ Nagar International School participated in “Indo German Classroom’ project in the academic year 2013-14. The project was supported jointly by Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan.
The program intended to promote intercultural competencies of the participating students. The partner groups had worked together for an entire year on a jointly selected project. In addition to gaining in-depth knowledge of the project’s subject, the year long, regular contact allowed the students to form lasting relationships with one another and increase their knowledge of the other country.

The Indo- German Classroom project between Christ Nagar International School and Hohenstaufen-Gymnasium, Kaiserslautern was started in late April 2013 and has now been completed in April 2014.
Twenty students from Grade X, XI, XII were selected for the project. The project titled ‘Made in Germany-Made in India’ dealt with IT revolution and its effects in the society. The students had worked on the following four sub topics -
Student exchange program was the major highlight of the ‘Indo German classroom project’. The students of Christ Nagar International School had gone and worked with the participating students of Hohenstaufen Gymnasium, Kaiserslautern in mid June 2013. They, along with their German counterparts were exposed to reputed companies like Opel, John Deere Forum etc for the project study. They also enjoyed being the part of German culture.
Christ Nagar International School also hosted the German students. The German students were in India from 12th January to 24th January 2014. The school had arranged visits to various companies at Technopark, VSSC space museum, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Bio technology, Indian Institute of Space Science technology etc to facilitate the Indo German students’ project study. Sightseeing at Trivandrum, Ernakulam and Alleppey also was the part of the cultural agenda.
The best part of the whole program was the students of CNIS and HSG working in cooperation and bringing out ideas which itself fulfilled the aim of the Indo-German project. Even though the project was the same for the groups, it has also a personal level for every individual student involved.
